Long Center Brand

The Long Center, Austin's premier live arts center, saw its 10-year anniversary in 2019 as a moment to better capture their diverse and growing audience. We knew that creating their new brand would require a stronger focus on the relationship between the theatre and its patrons, because the patrons are reflected in so many of the Long Center's decisions. We started with photography that featured real patrons, we looked to the view from the Long Center to compile a versatile color palette, we created a brand new typeface that was written by hundreds of patrons, and leveraged that design system with a modern and authentic tone of voice. And I got to write every word.
